Brass Wire Mesh
Introduction to Brass Wire Mesh
Brass wire mesh is manufactured from high-quality brass wire, offering exceptional strength and corrosion resistance. Commonly utilized in rubber manufacturing, filtration systems, and electric instruments, this versatile material provides reliable performance across demanding environments. Our brass wire mesh is available in multiple weaving patterns to suit diverse industrial needs.
We offer three primary weaving methods: plain weaving for standard filtration, twilled weaving for finer mesh applications, and Dutch weaving for high-strength, high-density screening. Each technique delivers distinct pore sizes and mechanical properties, ensuring optimal results for your specific requirements.
Weaving Methods and Technical Details
Plain weaving is the most common technique, where warp and weft wires cross alternately, producing a balanced, uniform mesh suitable for general sieving and filtering. Twilled weaving involves passing weft wires over two warp wires, creating a tighter weave ideal for fine particle retention and liquid clarification. Dutch weaving uses thicker warp wires and thinner weft wires, resulting in a strong, wedge-shaped aperture that excels in high-pressure filtration and slurry separation.
Beyond brass wire mesh, we also manufacture phosphor bronze and copper wire mesh, offering complementary materials for specialized applications such as marine environments, electrical contacts, and decorative panels. The combination of brass, phosphor bronze, and copper mesh provides a comprehensive range of conductivity, durability, and aesthetic options.

Applications and Industries
Brass wire mesh (cloth) and phosphor bronze wire mesh are frequently employed as sieving and filtering materials across numerous industries. Key applications include screening pellets, powders, porcelain clay, glass, chinaware printing, and filtering liquids and gases. The precise aperture sizes ensure consistent particle separation and high throughput.
Specific use cases include:
- Pharmaceutical and food processing: for sifting fine powders and granuled materials.
- Chemical industry: for filtering aggressive fluids and gases due to brass’s corrosion resistance.
- Mining and mineral processing: for separating ores and aggregates.
- Architectural and decorative: for facades, partitions, and cabinet panels requiring an elegant metallic finish.
- Electrical and electronic: for shielding and grounding applications due to brass’s conductivity.
Advantages and Quality Assurance
Choosing our brass wire mesh ensures numerous benefits: excellent corrosion resistance for long service life, high tensile strength for demanding applications, and an attractive golden appearance suitable for decorative use. The mesh is available in plain, twilled, and Dutch weaves, each offering unique flow and filtration characteristics.
We adhere to strict quality control standards throughout manufacturing, from wire drawing to final weaving. Each roll is inspected for uniform mesh count, consistent aperture size, and absence of defects. Our brass mesh meets international standards for industrial filtration and sieving.
Beyond stock sizes, we offer custom fabrication including cut pieces, welded frames, and rolled strips to integrate seamlessly into your production line or project. For additional product details or to request a quote, please visit our contact page.
